The Golden Age of Boy Bands 1995-2002

I admit it. I liked the boy band era. Not just because of the cute guys, but becaue there was a lot of catchy tunes being produced, like this one - "Same Old Brand New You" from A1. They weren't a house hold name like the Backstreet Boys or N'SYNC, but A1, Westlife, Take That!, Caught in The Act and others had some of the catchiest records since the 80's. Oddly, groups like this went out of fashion because they were 'too cute' or considered manufactured. Hey, it's pop music not Masterpiece Theatre. Just give me something fun, a good hook, nice vocals. That's all I demand from my music. Whether the song was written by them or not, or if they've 'suffered' along the way doesn't make music any more pleasurable to listen to.

Thanks Derek, it's a bit random. But I guess that's how it's supposed to be, just whatever I'm up to or on my mind.
