Here's a close up of the face. I have filled in quite a bit more of the entire picture but am particularly pleased with how the face has turned out so far, so I wanted to post this photo. When the head is this small on the paper the slightest finger smudge or pencil stroke can entirely alter the expression, but he's now got the look I am after. For a while he looked a bit angry, then his eyes were just not looking in the right direction.
