Senate: Nothing Better To Do

The Senate found it necessary not only to waste time on but also to pass an amendment in response to a newspaper ad by political action group Move-On. The ad challenged the hand picked facts and political motivations that General Patraeus presented to Congress. The amendment condemns anyone who questions the integrity of the White House's new war poster boy General Patraeus.

Lets not forget that we got into this war after General Colin Powell speaking (lying) at the U.N. told the world about Iraq's WMD's. Now we've got about 3,800 dead soldiers, 28,000 seriously wounded, a $9,000,000,000,000 national debt, a four year old war with no end or solution in sight, and the Senate thinks it's wrong to question the integrity of someone running this war? While they had the time and votes to pass that, they didn't pass a bill to cover millions of uninsured Americans or combat the climate crisis. Nope—they condemned Americans for speaking out against the war.

I condemn the U.S. Senate for wasting taxpayers money on trivial issues, incompetence and a lack of service and respect for the people of the United States.

I do try to limit my political rants, since most readers here came for the gay art, but I think we all need to speak out once in a while.
