Sometimes my backgrounds are from photos I have taken, other times they are composites of imagination and elements from catalogs, magazines, images off the Internet etc. I kind of pick and choose, a lamp, a car, a mountain range then extrapolate and rework, improvise and redesign to get what I want. For this pieace, my main source has been my own bedroom. Though, I still find changes to be necessary. That's one of the advantages of art, the ability to improve and alter reality.
