Tighty Whitey Car Wash Success

I was happy to again be a part of their fundraiser by supplying the imagery for their promotional poster.

THANK YOU to Steve Callow, Mr Steamworks 2008, and all the volunteers, models, donors and sponsors (Priape, 2xist, Steamworks, Café California, Zeldas, Proud FM, Michael Breyette, Kenny Lee, DJ Neil MacLeod, Labatt's, O'Connor Gallery, and StreemMaster) for making the Tighty Whitey Car Wash & pep rally events such a success. $7,000 was raised for PWA!

Despite a rainy day, The Mr. Steamwoks 2007 Tighty Whitey Car Wash raised over $ 8,000 for The Toronto People With AIDS Foundation! If you would like to make a donation, please log onto www.pwatoronto.org.

Peter Rex, Mr. Steamworks 2007, who organized it all wrote to let me know how it went:

Hi Michael!

The car wash was a huge success, even with the rain. We raised over $8000! Everyone had a really, really good time for a good cause. Haven't had a chance to properly advise everyone (yesterday was a really hard day). Best place to go to see photos is www.proudfm.com. When you take a look at the photos you'll see what I mean. "Red, Wet & Blue" (a gallery print I donated) was part of a silent auction and was sold for $700. I really think it would have gone higher but for the rain. It kept people from getting over to the displays. Still, by having a silent auction, the overall amounts raised for the raffle and auction was increased. Once again, thank you very much for everything. Your poster was really really appreciated.

The Tighty Whitey Car Wash benefit in Toronto has been postponed. It is rescheduled for August 12th.

Tighty Whitey Car Wash

Peter Rex, Mr. Steamworks 2007, (pictured above in front of the poster) has put together a fundraiser to benefit the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation. The event is a tighty whitey car wash, which should be a sudsy sexy good time! Hot guys like Peter in nothing but their briefs splashing and frolicking for a good cause. Peter, who has been photographed by Tom Bianchi, is getting Calvin Klein to donate the briefs and t-shirts, which will be printed up for the participants. I provided the image for the event's poster as well as donated a special full size limited edition print of "Red, Wet & Blue" to be framed and raffled off. So if you're in the Toronto area July 8th, and your car is dirty or you are just looking for some good clean fun and want to lend your support, stop by!
