Rays of sunlight cast at a sharp angle to the subject is always fun to do.  The body gets an edge of highlight and the rest is in a warm shadow.

With the last few weeks spent cutting mats, framing, and packing everything up to deliver to the gallery (on Monday), I am finally working on a new piece.  It's going very smoothly.  Maybe all that creative energy I've accrued is just happy to be uncorked.  Here's part of the outline sketch I made 3 weeks ago.  I'll put up pics of the actual pastel in progress soon.  I may have it done in time to frame and bring to the show as well.  The opening reception of "Iconic" is only 2 weeks away!

New Release: "Jocks"

They were pushed to their limits, worked hard but kept their cool. They gave an outstanding performance, and supported their team mates. Now the game may be over, but there is still more action in store for these jocks.

Jocks is the latest work for my upcoming show Iconic. While the original is available for immediate purchase, it will remain with the Lyman-Eyer Gallery through the end of my show.
