on the drawing board: somewhere in time

I enjoy putting a nostalgic feel into some of my works, though I rarely set about doing a period piece.  In fact, off the top of my head "The Baths", a commission I did set in the days of ancient Rome, is the only one I've done.  Generally I use the world around me as the vehicle to express myself in my works.  Though with this new piece I am really conscious to the extent our present is connected to our past.
